What are people saying about Pistol Marksmanship 101?

This review is for the Brian Zins Pistol Marksmanship 101. As a member of the National Pistol Team for a federal, three letter agency, I learned of Brian Zins from a fellow team member. I was told by my buddy that Brian was one of the best shooters he knew of in the competition world. So, I was pleasantly surprised that not only that Brian moved to the Charlotte area, but that he was doing training in the area. As someone who is a firearms instructor in the federal law enforcement arena; I try to take at least two training courses a year. I am very picky about whom I train under. I have paid big money to train with the very best. It takes thousands of repetitions to reverse poor technique. You get what you pay for and it is imperative to learn it right the first time. Which brings another point. The value from this course. I challenge you to spend so little for the caliber of the training offered in this class. There are many folks that call themselves “instructors”, but few can back up what they teach from real world, first hand experience. As a competitive shooter in many disciplines, I understand what it takes to achieve National Champion status. And to achieve 12 national titles, that is no fluke or lucky day. Add that to the fact that Brian coached the Marine Corps team and you have a guy whom is worth listening. So, I signed up for Pistol Marksmanship 101. I have been in law enforcement since 1983, I have been attending the top schools in the country since the early 90’s and I have been a competitive shooter for 15 years. Why basic marksmanship 101? Well, it’s the question that I ask my students all of the time; “What is the difference between a good shooter and a great shooter?” Mastery of the basics, the fundamentals. So, did I take away anything from the class? Yes, writers cramp. I couldn’t stop taking notes. I learned so much from the lecture and what he said was proven on the range. I can’t wait to train some more with Brian. We are so blessed to have a top notch instructor that is a 15 minute drive away. I can’t say enough!
