The Art of Concealed Carry – $45
Concealed a firearm for public carry should be done after careful consideration. Have you thought about the caliber, size and action of your concealed handgun? How about the type of holster or location in which you will carry? This 3-hour class is designed to help you make the right decision about your concealed handgun. There are no pre-requisites and anyone can sign up for this classroom instruction. Opportunities to take this class can be found on the calendar below.
Advanced Concealed Carry 1.0 – The Basics – $50.00
This 3–hour class is designed to teach the student the basics in defensive close quarter hand gun encounters. 1.0 is intended to train the student to safely draw, clear, grip and present the handgun to the target within a conceal carry context. This is a live fire class and will be primarily held on the range. Students will convene in the class room for a brief safety meeting and overview of the class prior to heading out to the range. No loaded firearms or ammunition are allowed in the class room.
Participants will need a holster to be located on the waist, at least one spare magazine and magazine pouch. In addition the student should have a loose fitting shirt or vest that attempts to conceal the firearm from plain site. We understand that there are various options and methods for carrying a concealed firearm however once the handgun is cleared the basic techniques remain the same. During the progression of this class the benefits and drawbacks of these various carry options will be discussed and through the practical applications of the basics the student will be able to make a more informed decision on the carry option that will work best for them. Must be at least 21 years of age to take this class.

An Introduction to Competitive Shooting – $45
Mike Denney, Director of Competition for Point Blank Range, will be providing a 2-hour introduction to competitive shooting for those who have considered the sport. This class will help you get started in the right direction by providing you with good information and an opportunity to shoot a beginner’s steel plate challenge course.
M-4 Operator Dynamics – $95
The M-4 platform is a modern sporting rifle (MSR) that has deep roots in American Military History. This class is designed to get you more proficient on this rifle with an emphasis on advance shooting techniques. This 3 hour class will be light on classroom and heavy on range time. So it is important that the following criteria are met.
- The student must have a working knowledge of safe handling and the controls of the M4/AR platform.
- Your rifle must be sighted in and accurate at 25 yards.
- Student must have a sling (single or double point types are acceptable).
- Student must have a minimum of 3 magazines and the ability to carry two on your person.
- Eye and Ear protection is required.
- Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- It is recommended to take our M4 NRA First Steps Rifle class prior but not required.
Our instructors will give you a brief overview of the rifle before moving onto the different shooting positions, use of the sling, hasty magazine changes and advancing to cover while shooting.
Emergency Preparedness – $45
In the last few years, our region has experienced high wind storms like never before, and these storms can cause fires, power outages and property destruction. We have also witnessed other uncommon but natural disasters all over the globe and in places that were not marred by mother nature in the past. Devastation brought about by weather anomalies can happen randomly and quickly, and being prepared for this type of emergency is important.
Point Blank Range now offers training for those unforeseen situations when being prepared can mean the difference between comfort and misery or maybe even, life and death. This class will get you started building a plan, and it will give you the peace of mind that you have taken steps to protect your family. You will learn how to build the proper “Go Bag”, how to safely store water and food and how much you will need for the people for which you need to provide.
Care and Cleaning, Pistol – $45
This is a hands-on event. Students are encouraged to bring their own pistols to class for specific instruction on their own firearm. In addition to learning about your pistol the student will also acquire knowledge of other firearm disassembly and reassembly procedures. Our resident gunsmith will address field stripping, cleaning and re-assembly of the four basic pistol style configurations; 1911, Striker Fire, Revolver and of course the Ruger MKIII/22-45 .22LR. You will be introduced to the various cleaning products, tools and techniques used to correctly care for your favorite pistol.
The student will attain the confidence needed to correctly care and for that favorite pistol.
Class duration: 3 hours.
Class Fee: $45.00 per person.
Pistols or Revolvers only, no long guns are to be brought to classStudent is limited to one pistol per class/event.
