Point Blank Range is proud to host a special intensive two day training event. We are bringing in our good friend, Daniel Shaw, from out West to Point Blank Range – South Charlotte.
About Daniel Shaw Daniel Shaw: Daniel Shaw is widely known in the Training Industry. He’s known for the Gunfighter Cast, and he is on Funker Tactical. He is a retired US Marine infantryman with multiple combat tours and instructor titles. He has developed curriculum and training standards for pre-deployment training and Marine Security Forces such as the Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Teams (FAST) and the Naval Nuclear Security Program. His direct action experience includes Level IV VBSS and In Extremis Hostage Rescue. Daniel has been a DOD/USMC firearms instructor for over 15 years and has over 18 years of concealed carry instruction experience. He holds numerous instructor certifications from the US Marine Corps to include foreign weapons and master instructor of Handgun, rifle/carbine, shotgun, and medium to heavy machine guns. Daniel takes his life of training and combat experience and develops curriculum to help responsible armed citizens prepare for a deadly force encounter.
Daniel will be teaching his Handgun Vitals I and II courses back to back in this two day event.
Handgun Vitals I – Day 1:
Handgun Vitals I is designed to present students of all experience levels, the skills and knowledge necessary to take them to a high level of proficiency with a defensive handgun in the areas that are most vital to the armed citizen. If you only take one class in your life, this is the one.

300 Rounds of ammunition is required. Limited to availability and quantity required for class.
A handgun chambered for a common defense caliber (.22 is acceptable, but not recommended)
A quality (non-collapsing) holster and at least 2 magazine pouches. Reloading from the pocket is acceptable
At least 3 magazines or 4 speed loaders for revolver shooters
Proper belt to support equipment
Ear Protection (electronic preferred)/ Eye Protection
Cleaning gear
Firearm lubricant
Handgun Vitals II: Day 2:
Handgun Vitals II reinforces the core fundamentals covered in HV-I with emphasis on urgency, economy of motion, and precision. The course culminates to a final individual event that requires each shooter to employ the techniques learned in Handgun Vitals I and II while experiencing mental and physiological stressors.
